Rustic Enchantment at Wente Vineyards

A romantic lavender affair at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, California. This beautiful couple chose to hold their wedding at Wente’s terrace lawn, which provides an open outdoor canvas, perfect to custom design your dream wedding! Our bride envisioned a tender and romantic wedding, with hints of rustic elegance. To start, we topped the rustic welcome sign with a 3 food garland with white and lavender blooms tucked in. For the bridal bouquet, we arranged a textured pairing of blush garden roses, true lavender and off white roses, with hints of English lavender. The bridesmaid bouquets were smaller version of bride’s, but with no lavender roses and added in lavender sprigs. The groom’s boutonierre was made using off white tea rose, succulent, and lavender sprig. The aisle of the ceremony was doused in delicate white rose petals. For the altar, we placed a 16 foot eucalyptus garland with white and lavender roses tucked in. We repurposed some of the centerpieces for the reception as barrel arrangements to brighten up the ceremony. These centerpieces were arranged in a rustic wood box, using creme roses and hydrangeas, adding in lavendar sprigs with lots of greenery. The sweetheart table was decorated using the same garland used for the altar, as well as some added in candles for a touch of romance. Lastly, we topped the wedding cake with dainty roses and succulents.

Orchid Elegance at Blackhawk Country Club

We have the amazing pleasure of working with Sarah and her mom Diana creating an amazing over the top elegant wedding keeping the beautiful clean modern linens.  The creative Kristen Jensen of Sugar Rush Events created a room like no other at The Blackhawk Country Club. We stated off with Sarah's bouquet that was white mini calla lilies and white mini cymbidium orchids.  This was all about drama.  Sarah's groom Stephen had a matching boutonnière of a calla and mini orchid as well. The bridal party had matching bouquets and boutonnieres of all white mini calla lilies to continue the clean modern linens.

The Ceremony took place outside by the pond.  We used Hartmann Studios pedestals and placed the tall centerpieces of hydrangea, orchids, and roses down the aisle.  Once the ceremony was over we transported the centerpieces into the ballroom.  The guest were greeted with lounge furniture and dramatic lighting setting the stage of what the evening was to come.  Our guestbook table made a huge statement of tall wine glass vases with hand tied arrangements of calla lilies, hydrangea with roses and hydrangea with cymbidium  orchids.  Great details of pewter and rhinestone ribbon held them together.  We did high and low arrangements to create interests in the room.  The lighting created by Impact Lighting was amazing in blues, ambers and purples. The evening ended with a Taco Truck outside for that late night snack and to soak up all of that celebrating that we tend to do at weddings.  A fantastic detail that we LOVE.  Thank you to Michelle Walker Photography for these amazing photos.

Rustic Yellows, Blush, and Soft Whites- The Solage in Calistoga

At the Solage in Calistoga, we got the chance to work with a beautiful couple as well as some of our favorite vendors in creating this wonderfully romantic and fresh wedding. The following photo’s are credited to Encarnacion photos  and of course a big thank you to Kristen from Sugar Rush Events. We always start designing a wedding with our bride by beginning to talk to her about how she envisions her bouquet. Aimee chose to stray a little left from tradition and add a little bit of color to her bouquet. Her bouquet was soft and romantic with many different fluffy white flowers such as Ranuculus, Peonies, and Lisianthus, while adding a few peach garden roses to add a touch of softness and color. She also opted for some dusty miller which gave a light touch of vintage while keeping it romantic and soft.

Walking down the aisle with her bouquet in hand set the tone for not only the rest of the floral design, but for the rest of her special day.

The next choice a bride has in designing her wedding with us is what her bridesmaids will be holding. Some brides chose to do smaller versions of their own, but Aimee chose to have her bridal party hold something different, to bring a little color into the ceremony. Aimee’s bridesmaids had a palette of colors that spanned from orange, to yellow, to blush pink. With such a light palette, these bouquets stood out beautifully against the girls navy dresses.

Our groom chose to design his boutonnieres with him and his men similarly; he went for white and gave them a splash of color. We often see boutonnieres with roses or calla lilies, but Chris wore an amazing café au lait dahlia on his lapel.  Dahlia’s by themselves are breathtaking, so they definitely are able to make a statement as a boutonniere. The groomsmen ended up with a yellow spray rose boutonniere, a little more traditional, but a great way to bring in the colors and really make it all pull together.

After the ceremony the guests were brought into the reception where the simple designs of the wedding party flowers multiplied into a gorgeous space with design by Sugar Rush Events and rentals and lighting brought in by Hartmann rentals and Impact lighting. The head table was along the front of the dance floor and brought in the oranges of the wedding with orange petals and bridal vases for the bridal party to place their bouquets. This addition to the table allowed the bride to utilize all flowers and continue the feeling from the ceremony into the reception.  The white dance floor gave an almost stark contrast from the soft fluffy flowers of the bouquets, but with the addition of the capiz chandelier brought in a beautiful modern edge.

Every detail counts when it come’s to a bride special day, the types of rentals that are used can make all the difference. Beginning with the chandelier and the dance floor and extending to the compass chairs and the beautiful white tables, every detail has combined together to create the dream atmosphere for Aimee and Chris.
