Elegant Woodland Wedding

Classic elegance meets woodland forest at the Mountain Terrace in Woodside California.  Perfectly planned by Rock N' Events, the outdoor ceremony impressed with an abundance of flowers, while the indoor reception sparkled with candle light. The rounded floral altar and low ivory pedestals with roses, orchids, and hydrangea and the aisle scattered with rose petals made a stunning contrast against the towering redwood grove backdrop. The bride's bouquet was perfect elegance with cascading white orchids, while the grooms boutonnière, a single white orchid was simple and tasteful. The reception dazzled with tall slender halo vases filled with white orchids and illuminated by soft candle light. The sweetheart table was perfectly decorated with a floral arrangement spilling down the front of the table.

The stunning event was beautifully captured by Lily Rose Photography.

Rustic Yellows, Blush, and Soft Whites- The Solage in Calistoga

At the Solage in Calistoga, we got the chance to work with a beautiful couple as well as some of our favorite vendors in creating this wonderfully romantic and fresh wedding. The following photo’s are credited to Encarnacion photos  and of course a big thank you to Kristen from Sugar Rush Events. We always start designing a wedding with our bride by beginning to talk to her about how she envisions her bouquet. Aimee chose to stray a little left from tradition and add a little bit of color to her bouquet. Her bouquet was soft and romantic with many different fluffy white flowers such as Ranuculus, Peonies, and Lisianthus, while adding a few peach garden roses to add a touch of softness and color. She also opted for some dusty miller which gave a light touch of vintage while keeping it romantic and soft.

Walking down the aisle with her bouquet in hand set the tone for not only the rest of the floral design, but for the rest of her special day.

The next choice a bride has in designing her wedding with us is what her bridesmaids will be holding. Some brides chose to do smaller versions of their own, but Aimee chose to have her bridal party hold something different, to bring a little color into the ceremony. Aimee’s bridesmaids had a palette of colors that spanned from orange, to yellow, to blush pink. With such a light palette, these bouquets stood out beautifully against the girls navy dresses.

Our groom chose to design his boutonnieres with him and his men similarly; he went for white and gave them a splash of color. We often see boutonnieres with roses or calla lilies, but Chris wore an amazing café au lait dahlia on his lapel.  Dahlia’s by themselves are breathtaking, so they definitely are able to make a statement as a boutonniere. The groomsmen ended up with a yellow spray rose boutonniere, a little more traditional, but a great way to bring in the colors and really make it all pull together.

After the ceremony the guests were brought into the reception where the simple designs of the wedding party flowers multiplied into a gorgeous space with design by Sugar Rush Events and rentals and lighting brought in by Hartmann rentals and Impact lighting. The head table was along the front of the dance floor and brought in the oranges of the wedding with orange petals and bridal vases for the bridal party to place their bouquets. This addition to the table allowed the bride to utilize all flowers and continue the feeling from the ceremony into the reception.  The white dance floor gave an almost stark contrast from the soft fluffy flowers of the bouquets, but with the addition of the capiz chandelier brought in a beautiful modern edge.

Every detail counts when it come’s to a bride special day, the types of rentals that are used can make all the difference. Beginning with the chandelier and the dance floor and extending to the compass chairs and the beautiful white tables, every detail has combined together to create the dream atmosphere for Aimee and Chris.
