Pastels in a Cave

Who doesn't love a good Napa Valley wedding? And when they're in the Meritage Cave and with Sugar Rush Events? Even better! We absolutely love the backdrop for their group photos - it was an October wedding but it felt bright and almost summer-y with the girls' sage green dresses. For the bouquets we stuck to ivory and creams for a clean and simple palette using callas, tea roses, stock, blushing bride, white berries, dusty miller and nerine lilies.  The overall look was truly stunning with their surroundings.

The Meritage Cave in Napa is such a fun venue for weddings - it's different and fun, but still intimate. With the dark space of the cave, and height of the ceilings it's important to make sure you bring in some light colors if you're going for a softer and romantic feel. Tall centerpieces look great in the space because it closes of some of the gap between your tables and the ceiling without cramping the height of the cave.

For the head table we created two tall rounded arrangements of white hydrangea, white berries, ivory and creams with soft greens, a hint of cafe au lait and seeded eucalyptus. These arrangements really brightened the dark space up and created a romantic feeling with the lighting. For the icing on the cake, we draped the table in a Nepal Turqoise floral print linen from Hartmann Studios which played nicely off the texture in the arrangements.

One fun tip for your reception is to use your bouquets to decorate the dessert table like our bride did here! It's a great way to show them off and repurpose them after the ceremony.

Big thank you to Encarnacion Photography for the photos of this gorgeous day in Napa!
