Memorial Day Wedding - Casa Real, Pleasanton

Memorial day weekend is one that fills up fast for us!  We already have a few boked for 2013 and many requests pouring in for that weekend. This year we had 5 weddings spread out between Livermore and Napa wine countries. Sabrina and Austin had their Memorial Day weekend wedding at one of our favorite venues, Casa Real. We have shown you lots of weddings from Casa Real, it is such a beautiful space and makes for a wonderful backdrop inside and out.

Sabrina chose to have a textured bouquet with ivory, white, and pink flowers. Using the ivory Roses in her bouquet helped to create a bridge between pink garden roses and the other white flowers she used such as Gardenias, which seem to be one of the truest whites that florals can come in.  Gardenias are also a very special flower to most brides, there is something delicate about them and their fragrant nature that draws brides to them. Sabrina chose to use Gardenias exclusively in her bouquet. The bridesmaids had similar flowers as Sabrina, but they were a bit smaller as well as without the Gardenias.

The Grand Salon, at Casa Real, is such a large and regal space. With such high ceilings, we are always happy when a bride decides to stick with tall centerpieces throughout. Sabrina chose to go with a Pilsner vase which adds a modern edge to the design, but keeps it clean with the V shape. The colors in the centerpieces also mimic her bouquets, with ivory, whites, and pinks. The added green allows for extra texture and depth within the arrangement. You can see the bright green which naturally comes out of the pink hydrangea, and then the traditional greenery which is used more around the bottom.

Casa Real also has one of the best entryways around this area. With a huge hall for guests to walk in, the special couple are able to place an entryway arrangement.  At Casa Real, we often see brides asking for a Manzanita branch tree with rocks and moss. Every bride and groom customize it to match their style with candles, photos, a guest book, or anything else they want to set the mood with. We love this photo that Loic Nicolas photography was able to capture. Another area that is very special to most weddings, is the cake table. This weekend we got to work with one of our favorite bakers, Fatema from Cake Delight! The shot that was captured with the draping across the cake, the flowers placed just at the right points, and the lighting by Fantasy Sound, amazes us.

Congratulations Sabrina and Austin, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
