Facebook has been an amazing thing connecting long lost friends including Christy Sablan from Cupertino High School. 25 years later I had the great opportunity to help create her dream wedding on 9/10/11. Christy has been an avid animal rights activist for many years so the perfect place for her dream wedding with also high school friend Steve Savage was at the San Francisco Zoo.
They were married in front of the African Savannah. Zebras walked around and grazed the grass and Giraffes peaked around the corner at them while they exchanged their vows.
The Altar was created with small tables and pale yellow boxwood linens from Class Party Rentals. We placed large cylinders of tall curly willow and a collar of white hydrangea, pale yellow roses and bright yellow gerbers. Pomanders of white hydrangea and gerber daisies lined the aisle.
The dining lodge at the zoo is really quite lovely. We did black shimmer linens and black chavrai chairs. Each table had a large low lush of all the bridal flowers of hydrangea, stock, roses, gerber daises and a splash of orange spray roses to give an extra punch to the room. Enhanced Lighting came in and pin spotted each table and warm champagne uprights created a warm glow all over. The place card table with created with a tall pilsner with tall curly willow, hanging crystals, and a collar of hydrangea, roses and gerber daisies. The back of the table lined with black boxes had wheat grass and levels of gerber daisies that happily created each and every guests.
