When we first met Jenny we knew she was going to be the perfect classic bride! She wanted clean cut with a “wow” factor and that’s exactly what we went for…the result? Gorgeous bridal party flowers and stunning centerpieces outside at Wente – all captured by Studio Dizon. Jenny wanted a clean and controlled bouquet that was still soft and romantic, yet elegant and formal. We used whites with an accent of soft pink with peonies, white stock and little hints of very light pink roses with some white lisi – all finished off with a clean wrap to match her gorgeous light ivory dress! The groom, Brett, had a boutonniere made to match Jenny with a small off-white tea rose with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller.
The bridesmaids held a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet but with more pinks than white, which couldn’t have looked any better with their pretty mint dresses!
The groomsmen’s boutonnieres complimented the girls, using a pink garden rose with white freesia wrapped in silver. All together, the bridal party look came together as clean, elegant and soft.
For the ceremony we did a light scattering of white with an accent of light pink down the sides of the aisle, creating a clean-cut walkway for the gorgeous bride. Placed on top of the barrels were two centerpieces from the reception – such a great way to repurpose some of your centerpieces
Now onto the “wow”-factor centerpieces! We alternated between high and low centerpieces, using the bridal flowers and other seasonal types in a footed glass dish with some cascading small white phalaenopsis orchids to create some movement in the low arrangements. The tall arrangements were showcased in hourglass vases with a large, rounded texture in whites and blush pinks using hydrangea, peonies, orchids and roses. The result was dripping orchids creating a lot of movement. Over the reception were café lights in mint and light pink – this was a great addition, giving the reception a little playful twist
We also loved their unique guestbook arrangement that had a very modern twist, but still held to the classic look they wanted! We used a trio of medium and large wine glasses with three different hand tied arrangements set in at different angles. The look was so unique and played perfectly into their look they were aiming for!
We hope this wedding really showcases how a clean and classic wedding can come together elegantly with some playful touches! Congratulations Jenny & Brett – best wishes from us here at The Flower House!
